We're taking down Demandbase and 6Sense ;-)

  • What is ABM?

ABM stands for Account Based Marketing. Account based marketing is a strategic go-to-market (GTM) motion where sales and marketing work together to target, close, and expand a number of specific accounts (companies). This means all resources are focused on closing these accounts as opposed to Demand Gen or spray-and-pray outbound strategies where companies try and target everyone.

    Core Principles of ABM

    1. Targeted Effort: Identifying and focusing on a specific set of high-value accounts.

    2. Personalization: Creating tailored messaging and campaigns for each account.

    3. Alignment: Close collaboration between sales and marketing teams.

    4. Measurement: Clear tracking of account-level metrics to gauge success

Account-Based Marketing is a growing go-to-market strategy. Companies implementing ABM have reported a 171% increase in average annual contract value and a 208% increase in revenue.

  • In most cases we do not sign NDAs and no it's not because we're trying to rip you of your idea.

We have done this long enough to understand the work that goes into launching a successful business and it's A LOT. So much so, if you want to rip ideas from us you can see our product pipeline on our product page - have them, it would take the stress away from us :-).

The benefit of ABM Answered is we already have an ABM launch pad to market but the chances of success are much better to do it together. This is the Community Economy, We build together, go-to-market together, and create value together.

That said, in some cases it might make sense too should so don't hesitate in reaching out.

  • The revenue share depends on your involvement and contribution. We will discuss and agree on this prior to building the project together so everyone is happy. Typically you can expect 20%-40% of all revenue but this can go to 60% in some situations if you are able to meaningfully support in bringing it to market.

  • We are constantly building and therefore a big influencer on timelines is how much engineering power we have available.

From intro chat to MVP / Version 1 of your product idea we try and get it back to you within 2 weeks.

  • If you have been invited to do an ABM Answered interview here is what to expect:

    1. Question sent to you and agreed beforehand

    2. 30minute blitz interview on Riverside.fm. One of the team will send you a link and it's as easy as joining a zoom call. These will be video interviews.

    3. Within 24 hours we will edit the long-form episode and send it back to you for your to review. If given the green light we will post to YouTube and Spotify.

    4. Within 48 hours one of the content team will put together a blog post of our interview which includes backlinks to your site (great for SEO).

    5. Within 72 hours our team will send you across a folder of short-form clips from our interview, feel free to use any of this on your social channels.

    6. Within 7 days we will grant you access to the ABM Answered Library where your clips will have been published and hosted on there.

  • Within 24 hours you will get the long-form episodes sent back to you (after our editors have worked their magic!)

Within 48 hours one of the content team will send you across a blog from our episode including backlinks to your site - great for SEO.

Within 72 hours one of the content team will send you across a folder of short form video clips from our interview which you can post across your socials.

All this once you have given us the green light!

  • This is a very common question and we see it as a good thing because we want to be value-first!

To gain access to the ABM Answered Library you have to contribute content - you can't buy your way in.

ABM Answered makes it money from the ABM Products the community designs, builds, and sells. That said, we share this wealth with the community and reward you for your engagement. We don't believe in the be an advisor and get 1% of our VC backed company where you hope in 10 years we would have cashed out a at a billion dollar valuation. We see our products as digital assets that are cash-flow producing from day one - kinda like the modern day house!

  • The Community Economy is the next generation of growing companies. It's a blend of socialism and capitalism where we reward you for your value and engagement with money, not shareholders.

For example, if you have an idea for a product (that we build for you for free) or a useful workflow that others could benefit from and it sells, we split the revenue with you directly. More on this as we progress, we have some big plans, and the ultimate UNO reverso card is going to be played.

  • ABM Answered products are better than 6Sense and Demandbase in a number of ways.

    1. You are not forced into any annual deals not are there any large upfront cost. You can get going today with a credit card.

    2. You can build your tech stack the way you want, there is no tech bloat. You don't need to purchase Demandbase or 6Sense only to use 10% of their features. Only pay for the features you need.

    3. All our products are pre-programmed to your niche. We would argue that demandbase and 6Sense aren't ABM tools because they are forced to serve everyone doing ABM. This occurs when you have VC money and are forced to reach a $1 billion dollar unicorn status. We only release products that are ready to serve specific niches.

    4. They are designed by true ABM'ers, like you, that live and breath your role every single day.

note. all of the advanatges of these giant tool providers like Hubspot, Demandbase, 6Sense etc. is they need their products to speak to each other for tracking. ABM ANswered has been set up so that our tools do this as well.

  • Commitment can vary depending on the complexity of the product that you wish to build. Typically all we require is two 1x hour calls a week for the first two weeks to make sure we are on the right path. After that, and when your MVP has been built, you have the option to be as much or as little involved as you like. The benefit of you being more involved is we can continue to shape the product quicker and make improvements but also you will receive a higher percentage of revenue if you support with us bringing it to market.

  • ABM Answered does cover some topics and aspects of Demand Generation such as how they are beginning to converge, and how demand gen campaigns can compliment ABM campaigns but 96% of everything we talk about and build revolves around Account-Based-Marketing.

  • We have done a few inperson video interviews and it turns out they are very popular. We are looking to do more of these in the near future along with mixing up the format for these special interviews. If you are really excited by this prospect please do reach out to us and we can see what we can do. We work with Studio Days for in person shoots and they are phenomenal!

  • To be granted access to the ABM Answered Library you need to first be interviewed by Sam (or another one of the ABM Answered content team). The reason for this is so we can vet and keep the level of insights high within the community and to make sure people are not joining just so they can be pitch slapped. This is strictly forbidden.

  • From the get go we made sure ABM Answered wouldn't just be another podcast. ABM Answered are video first interviews that get diced up and put into an organised content library, The ABM Answered Library, in a way where you can navigate via your problems and get solutions quickly.

There's nothing more frustrating trying to navigate an hour long podcast episode to find that 30second solution to your problem.

it also doubles down as a directory to other account based marketers, who work in your industry, and whom you can reach out to directly.

  • That is a great question and the answer evolves frequently. Ultimately and what will stay true to the end is we want to build a community that becomes the number one resource for account-based-marketers globally. Not just knowledge, but also product solutions too.

Bigger picture, we want to set an example of other industries to follow this Community Economy format where all the knowledge, ideas, and value created is shared and rewarded with the people that helped generate it. We believe 90% of the companies that take on VC money shouldn't and by working together with others in their relevant industry they will not just build more stable companies but build greater economic value too.

  • Within our community we have a number of full-stack engineers, product managers, QAs, UX/UI and 3D designers - everything you need - who have been vetted by our very talented, Technical Founder, Charlie Daly.

  • Yes. ABM Answered interviews all types of Account Based Marketers. Hot industries of Account-Based-Marketers currently are Cybersecurity, Healthcare, and Fintech but as the ABM landscape evolves, we evolve too.
